Barbara Major, Community Activist, Educator and Concerned Citizen gives White City Council Members a 2-Minute Course On Racism. In two minutes, she tossed out a couple of basic points regarding racism and had covered equity over equal and how racist policies have an adverse affect on the African American community. Perhaps the city council ought to invest in attending one of her full day seminars. This would be good for the city as well as helping individuals to cope with their own fears and misguided perception of racism. In addition, it may begin the process of healing our city that has been torn up by everything, including racism. I'm sure her office would welcome the opportunity to enlighten our city's leaders, and equip them to lead with the tools needed in making this city prosperous for all.
But lets not misconstrue the promotion of Ms Major with the message she brought to the city council. That is, not to try and pull policies out of confusion and then pretend to over look the consequences of racism.
